This is a two volume set containing Volume 1 of the Official Biography 1894-1956 (published in 1988) and Volume II (published in 1989) of the Official Biography 1957-1986. Black boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. In the publisher's original pictorial dustjacket which is not-price clipped but does have some very minor smudges/scratches to the covers which can only seen if held up to the light, otherwise No Inscriptions or other Marks. Vol 1 = (xix) + 537 pp; Vol 2 = (xvii) + 741 pp. Both Illustrated with b/w photographs. Notes; Select Bibliography; Index; Picture Acknowledgements. Overall, apart from the very minor 'faults' , these are Excellent, Clean, Tight and Bright, Near ' As New' copies.
