Blue cloth bound boards with clear black titling and illustration to spine. No dustjacket. Some edge wear to all extremities and corners, and slight surface (faded) spots to the rear front edge, and inner edges, head/tail of spine 'bumped' due to bad storage but NO chipping or fraying, covers are sound and tight and near VG. All hinges secure. No Inscriptions or Marks. 280 pp. 13 full page b/w illustrations and 2 large fold-out tinted/coloured Maps. Bibliography. Index. (In the Acknowledgements there is a note thanking Mrs Hyde Baker for a photo to be used as a frontispiece, however I am unable to trace any copies with a frontispiece - the d/j however bears his portrait, front and back, which may the one referred to if the publishers decided to use it there...? ). There isn't an illustrations list, but the book contains some b/w reproductions of Baker's own drawings.. Internally this is a Very Good and Tight, Unmarked copy.
