Maroon boards, with dark blue titling to the spine and front cover, which are lightly faded to the cover edges and in patches to the top and bottom (triangular 'patch') only of the spine. Corners and head/tail of spine slightly bumped. Fore-edges foxed (spotted). Top edge blue. Large ink 'Presentation' note on the front free endpaper = "...Presented to... " by Newquay Parish Church Sunday School, 1952. No publication date given (but is somewhere between 1948 to 1952? ). Slight light foxing to the text, mainly to the prelims/title, with the odd light spot in the book here and there, but overall internally a clean, tight copy with no other inscriptions or marks. Black and white frontispice and 3 other full page b/w illustrations. 254 pp. A nice period girl's school story. See Images ; 8vo
