In most attractive deco period bright and colourfully decorated paper-covered boards with deep black cloth spine and original paper title label to the spine. NO dustjacket. Bright copy. Head/tail of spine lightly bumped. Very slight foxing to e/p's, and some pale tan 'patching' to the title page and opposite, o/w Very Clean throughout. 'Rough-cut' page fore-edges as issued. 296 pp + an inserted Advert leaf for Coppards' book 'Fares Please' at the end. An attractive Clean bright and tight copy. Alfred Edgar Coppard (1878 -1957) was an English writer and poet, noted for his influence on the short story form. Coppard's short stories were praised by Ford Madox Ford and Frank O'Connor. Coppard's book 'Nixey's Harlequin' received good reviews from L. A. G.
