Blue wavy-patterned cloth-covered boards with a brown cloth-covered spine, and bright gilt titling to the spine. Some marks and discolouration with some wear to the bottom corners, but overall sound and tight. A slight 'lean' to the book from poor storage. The page fore-edges are lightly 'rough-cut' and browned/dusty. Internally plain cream endpapers and the former owner' s details (Geoffrey Webb, Burlington Mag: 1929) written on the front free endpaper in fading ink - Geoffrey Webb (1898–1970) was a British art historian, Slade Professor of Fine Art and head of the Monuments and Fine Arts section of the Control Commission during World War II. Some light foxing and dusty gutters here and there, but all plates very clean.
