Title continues = " in 20000 Meisterpartien mit etwa 200000 Diagrammen in 40 Lieferungen und einigen Supplementbanden..." . With a loose leaf note to the Author SIGNED BY BOTWINNIK, the note says IN GERMAN - " Honoured Herr Dr Wildhagen. Thanks for the Games", (Hochverehrter Herr Dr Wildhagen! Besten Dank fur die Partien. Mit schonen Grupen) and is Signed by Botwinnik and dated Moskau 4.3.61. Red cloth-covered boards titled in glit to the spine and front cover. The rear outer spine hinge has obviously been split at some point and has been reinforced with a clear plastic strip quite neatly - but the gilt under the strip is rubbed and dulled, the tips of the bottom corners are rubbed through to the boards, o/w all else is quite clean and bright. The page fore-edges are lightly 'toned' with age but Internally the book is clean and tight, with NO Inscriptions or major marks, APART FROM the rear pastedown where the large remains of what was probably a brown paper cover is glued down to the rear endpaper. Mikhail Moiseyevich Botvinnik was a Soviet and Russian International Grandmaster and three-time World Chess Champion, widely considered one of the greatest chess players of all time. A quite scarce title in this series, and even scarcer with Botvinnik's Signature and note to the author. See Images ; Signed by Biographee
