Green cloth-backed boards with bright gilt titling to the spine. The boards are clean and unmarked, with only minimal 'bumping' to the head/tail of the spine - No damage just from storage. In the original publisher's decorated dustjacket. The dust-jacket is not price clipped. The d/j has some very minor shelf-wear, light scratches (negligible) , some chipping to the extremities and the top edges & base colour to the spine has 'sunned' (turned a light cream colour) slightly with age. The d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks VG Plus/ Near Fine. Top edge green (slightly spotted) but clean white page fore-edges. SIGNED and Dedicated in green biro by the Author on the front free endpaper "To Larry Evans, who has contributed a lot to the chess dialectic. Anthony Saidy 5-7-72 ". (Larry Evans (1932 - 2010) was an American Chess Grandmaster, Author, and Journalist. He won or shared the US Chess Championship five times and the US Open Chess Championship 4 times. He wrote a long-running chess column & wrote or co-wrote more than twenty books on chess) . In Chapter One ONLY there is a sentence underlined in biro and a couple of comments in pencil - these may be by Larry Evans?
