This is an illustrated postcard with a hand-written 'Thank You' note on, which was sent with a gift of a 'Tibetan Jewel Box' to Mary Kessel, who was a that time John Schlesinger's Asst. Film Editor. Clean. Reverse is slightly but uniformly browning with age. Overall Very Good. The text of the postcard reads = "Mary Dear, Thanks for everything - Voights Screen test & all the work on this one. This is a little Tibetan jewel box - foundf on my travels. Love xxx J. " (Schlesinger) - this latter name written on by Mary ('Bunny' Kessel) , who talked to me about it and her experiences, before her death in 2004 at age 90 here in Carmarthenshire.
