One of the pirated (unauthorised) recalled edition of 1965 brought out by its original publisher to coincide with the Faber Edition, however printed in the book it states 'First Published 1945'. Reissued in larger format than original edition = 9.25" x 6.00'' (23.5 cm x 15.4 cm) . (4) + 36pp. Plain Maroon-red cloth with the Title in Gilt to spine (with some 'rubbing/shelfwear' to the titling but most lettering still relatively bright ) and a 'lean' to the book, the bottom board is sitting proud to the top edge - o/w As New. White fore-edges and immaculate inside. See Images. No Dustjacket. This is the so-called 1965 'Pirate Edition' of which only 500 were produced and only some 280 reached the market. Printed at Sevenoaks by Knole Park Press Ltd. Octavo. The 500 copies were invoiced to Mr R. A. Caton for the Fortune Press on 27th February 1965. The edition was withdrawn from sale when the author discovered its existence. Unauthorised Second Edition Printed by the Knole Park Press Ltd. Apart from the flaws as noted above, this is a NF copy.
