FIRST Edition. 1935. Size 21.5 cm x 17.5 cm - larger than later issues. Very Good green (watered silk? ) cloth-covered boards with black titling and illustration to the spine and front board and publisher's logo on the rear board. A mark to the bottom of rear cover and some light 'bumping' to the head/tail of the spine but NO damage and Overall the covers are Very Good. In the original dust-jacket which is not price-clipped, has some tears, a mark to the rear cover, some loss to the head/tail of the spine and corners, and also some fading and spotting to the spine and either side, but all titling is clear, there is just some loss to the decorative borders top and bottom of the d/j spine. The tears are now repaired (with archive tape to the reverse) and the d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks much better. Page fore-edges VERY lightly and uniformly toned, but very clean. Internally a gift note on the front free endpaper. The end-papers are on pastel marbled paper, and throughout are delightful green fairy illustrations and green fairy borders on almost every page! Also Lovely Green Illuminated Title letters to every section, PLUS 3 full page b/w illustrations. WELSH LANGUAGE TEXT. (xvi) + 99 pp including Bibliography. The text block is near Immaculate.
