Dark blue cloth-covered hardback book, with clear gilt titling to the spine. In the original publisher's lettered dust-jacket. The d/j is rubbed and slightly torn to the top and bottom of the spine with small chips and nicks at the corners, all of which are now as neatly repaired as possible to the reverse of the d/j with clear archive tape. The base colour to the spine has faded to white, but all titling is clear and legible. The d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks good. The page fore-edges are lightly and irregularly 'toned' with age, but no foxing or major browning. Internally the previous owner, a physics professor, has written his name on front free endpaper and had made some scattered light pencil notes, but I have erased all that I could find. Otherwise very clean and tight with no other marks that I can see.
