In the original red-based pictorial cloth with gilt lettering. No dust-jacket. No date shown, but a Sunday School presentation plate dated Xmas 1914 inside on the front pastedown, but probably published a little earlier than 1914? . Externally bright and clean with some light rubs to the corner tips - bumping to the head/tail of the spine - and a small neat repair to the top of the spine. Page fore-edges lightly dusty/foxed (pale tan spots). Internally some pale tanning to the endpapers, and occcasional pale foxing spots to the first few and last few pages with some scattered light foxing here and there in the main body of the text as well. 194 pps.
