Good/No Jacket. 2nd Edition. 8vo Thick. Marbled boards with cloth spine, paper label with gilt titling on spine. Front hinge detaching. Corners knocked. Edges fraying. This copy belonged to a Medical Library in Chatham. Inner hinges/e/p's foxed otherwise very clean and tight internally. Volume V & VI - Saturday 9th October 1824 to 2nd April 1825. With index. Included in this book are descriptions of various illnesses/diseases of the era. These would include - Hectic fever, disorganization of a part of the fifth pair of nerves, anasarca, popliteal aneurism, sores resembling chancres which are not chancres, gonorrhaea etc etc and the treatment which was given.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall
